About ABC Pilates
Pilates focuses on re-educating and evenly strengthening the entire body so that it can work toward maximum efficiency of movement. The integrated approach while re-training the individual will help to correct body weaknesses and imbalances, improve performance, reduce injuries, and help to recondition individuals with injury or structural issues. It is also for the healthy individual who wants to condition, strengthen and tone the body.
With Pilates mat and apparatus work clients will be able to evaluate and properly strengthen and control muscles, analyze physical weaknesses in body alignment, develop correct and efficient body usage, develop concentration and control in exercise, analyze individual technical abilities to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Clients will employ the exercises and principles of Pilates in their dance, sport, other exercise activities and daily activity. Enhancement in these areas provides greater technical ability in exercise-based programs and improves the quality of performance in sports and in our daily lives.
At ABC Pilates our philosophy is to teach the highest standard of Pilates and to maintain the integrity of the work that we have learned from various Master teachers. We teach the work not as an exercise but as a way of life and we incorporate a variety of exercises and apparatuses that work best for the individual and group classes.
ABC Pilates employees maintain their education by attending various workshops and classes to keep current on the Pilates work. This in turn helps to keep the student/client in the best mental and physical shape we can offer
